Albert Morton 2nd XI vs Sparta Jag
Battery Park, Gourock
It was an absolute scorcher down at Battery Park as Sparta lined up for
their second match of the season.
The weather had a major effect on the game, which was played at a slower
pace than usual, as everyone seemed happy to enjoy the sunshine.
The only goal of the game came midway through the first half. Stevie Walker
curled in a corner to the near post, and the attempted clearance sliced off
an Albert Morton shin and into the net.
The rest of the game was pretty uneventful, with Albert Morton hitting a few
good efforts from distance, which were comfortably dealt with by Jake Hansen
in the Sparta goal.
Many thanks to the Albert Morton guys, who took a few of the Sparta lads
back to the Albert Hotel for a few after match refreshments.
